This guide walks you through connecting your Sona Audiences to Facebook Custom Audiences for automated syncs. By completing this setup, your Facebook campaigns will stay updated in real time based on your Sona segmentation, enabling more targeted, high-performance outreach.
Prerequisites
A Facebook account must be connected to Sona.
Access to Sona Audiences data.
Step 1: connect Facebook to Sona
Go to Connectors in the Sona sidebar.
Locate or add the Facebook Connector.
Authenticate and ensure the status reads Active.
Step 2: create a new destination
Navigate to the Destinations section.
Click + Add Destination.
Select Facebook Custom Audience from the list.
Step 3: Facebook-specific configuration
Target Selection: choose your Facebook Custom Audience from the dropdown.
Record Matching Best Practice: use email or phone for best match rates.
Facebook Notes: Facebook requires matched data to meet its Custom Audience policies, so ensure user consent and data privacy compliance.
Enable Real-Time Processing: located under Record Matching, check this box if you want immediate data updates. When enabled, real-time processing will override the scheduled sync frequency, ideal for time-sensitive workflows and immediate lead follow-up.
