Authenticate with your email system credentials, such as SMTP, SendGrid, HubSpot, or another provider.
Confirm that the status reads Active before proceeding.
Step 2: create a new destination
Navigate to the Destinations section in your Sona dashboard.
Click + Add Destination.
Select Send Email from the list.
Step 3: Send Email-specific configuration
Destination Name: enter a clear and descriptive name, for example "Engaged Newsletter Signups".
Source: select the data source that contains your email audience.
Filters (optional): use filters to refine who receives the email.
Recipient Email Address: choose the field that contains the recipient's email address.
Subject: add a compelling subject line for the email.
(Optional) configure content templates, dynamic fields, or message body depending on your setup.
Enable Real-Time Processing: located under Field Mapping, check this box if you want immediate data updates. When enabled, real-time processing will override the scheduled sync frequency, ideal for time-sensitive workflows and immediate lead follow-up.
For general destination configuration steps, such as selecting an audience, setting sync frequency, record matching, field mapping, and saving, follow the instructions in the Data: Destination Setup guide.
