Overview
The Web Visitors agent answers questions about the people arriving on your site, especially those coming from AI referrals. It identifies and profiles those visitors so you can ask which pages they land on and how they convert, without building a report for each question.
Its tagline on screen sums it up: Ask anything about visitors coming from AI referrals.
Getting to the Web Visitors agent
In the left sidebar, click Agents.
Click Select Agent.
Click the Web Visitors card.
The breadcrumb at the top confirms where you are: Agents › Select an Agent › Web Visitors.
Tip: if you are already chatting with a different agent, click the agent selector at the bottom-left of the prompt box and pick Web Visitors instead of going back. See Agents: Select an Agent.
What's on the screen
Agent badge: a small Agent label above the title, confirming you are on an agent chat screen rather than a dashboard.
Agent name and tagline: Web Visitors with its one-line description of what it covers.
Prompt box: the large input in the middle, prompting you to analyze and visualize trends and patterns in the data.
Agent selector: the dropdown at the bottom-left of the prompt box, showing Web Visitors. Use it to switch agents without leaving the chat.
Send button: the arrow button at the bottom-right of the prompt box.
Get started with a template: a block of prebuilt prompts under the prompt box, with a count of every playbook available for this agent.
A Connect your data to analyze bar can also appear beneath the prompt box when the agent needs a data source connected to answer fully.
Get started with a template
The template block is subtitled Profile visitors arriving on your site, especially from AI referrals and shows four prebuilt prompts you can click instead of typing your own:
Web visitors count this period: how many web visitors this period?
Visitor trend over time: visitor trend over time?
Known vs anonymous visitor ratio: known vs anonymous visitor ratio?
Peak traffic periods: peak traffic periods?
These four are a sample. Click Browse all 38 Web Visitors playbooks to see the full set. For how templates work, see Agents: Playbooks.
What you can ask
This agent is scoped to web traffic and AI referrals. Beyond the templates, you can ask things like:
How much of my traffic is arriving from AI referrals?
Which pages do AI-referred visitors land on most?
Do AI-referred visitors convert better than other traffic?
Questions outside this agent's domain are better asked of a different agent. Each agent draws only on the data for its own area.
Connecting data
An agent can only answer from the data connected to your workspace. Visitor questions depend on the Sona tracking script being installed on your site, and a Connect Data button appears on the Connect your data to analyze bar whenever a source is still missing.
