Account Settings: Delete Account

Understand what happens when you permanently delete your Sona account, and where to do it from the Delete Account tab in Account Settings.

Overview

Delete Account is where you permanently close your Sona account. Deleting it removes your data, your settings, and your organization, and it cannot be undone. Read what it removes before you go ahead, and make sure no one in your organization still needs Sona.

Getting to Delete Account

Delete Account is the last tab inside Account Settings, which lives at the bottom of the left sidebar. To open it:

  1. In the left sidebar, click Account Settings at the very bottom. If the sidebar is collapsed to icons, it is the person icon in the bottom-left corner.

  2. In the settings menu, click Delete Account.

What deleting your account removes

The red warning at the top of the tab reads This action cannot be undone. Deleting your account will:

  • Delete your data and settings: All your data and settings are permanently deleted.

  • Remove access: You lose access to all associated services.

  • Cancel subscriptions: Any active subscriptions are canceled.

  • Delete your organization: Your organization and all of its data are deleted.

Deleting your account

Only continue if you are sure you want to permanently close your account.

  1. Read the warning and the list of what will be deleted.

  2. Click the red Delete Account button in the bottom-right corner of the card.

Note: There is no way to restore your account, data, or organization afterward. If you only want to stop paying or change plans, see Billing & Subscriptions in Account Settings instead.
