Overview
Sona's Prospected People view is where every prospected contact in your workspace lives. It is one of the three tabs on the Identification screen, alongside Accounts and Company Employees, and it shows individual people rather than companies. Use it to browse the contacts Sona has prospected and enriched, narrow them down with filters, choose which of the enrichment fields you want to see, and turn a selection into a derived report, an audience, or an export.
When to use Prospected People
Use this view when you need to:
Browse every prospected contact rather than a single People List.
Narrow contacts down by job title, location, company attributes, or any other enriched field.
Reveal contact details for the specific people you want to reach.
Turn a filtered set of people into a derived report or an audience.
Export a contact list for use outside Sona.
Prerequisites:
At least one People List with prospected contacts in it.
Getting to Prospected People
Despite covering people, this view is reached from the Accounts group in the sidebar, not the People group.
In the left sidebar, click Accounts to expand the group.
Click Identified to open the Identification screen.
Click the Prospected People tab in the tab row at the top.
The other two tabs on the same screen are Accounts, which lists identified companies, and Company Employees. Switching tabs keeps you on the Identification screen.
Step 1: choose which People List to view
The left panel controls the scope of the table.
List(s): the People List(s) dropdown selects which People Lists feed the table. Pick one or more to narrow the view to those lists.
Filtered Views: saved views you can jump back to. All People is the default, showing every prospected contact.
Step 2: search and filter
Across the top of the table you have:
Search: the search box matches on contact name, job title, and email. Type a term and click Search.
Filters: opens the All Filters panel, where every enriched field is available as a filter, grouped into categories such as Identifiers, Web & Social Presence, and Location. Use the search box inside the panel to find a field quickly.
Reset: clears the filters you have applied and returns the table to the full list.
Tip: filter before you export or create an audience. The action applies to what the table currently holds, so narrowing first is what keeps the output focused.
Step 3: read the table
Each row is one prospected contact. The default columns include:
Account List: the list the contact came from.
Created At: when the contact record was created.
Email: hidden by default behind a Reveal button, with a credit indicator showing the cost of revealing that row.
First Name, Last Name, and Contact Name.
Job Title and Gender.
Those are only the leading columns. The full table carries the whole enrichment record, including social URLs, phone numbers, location fields, and a large set of company attributes such as industry, employee count, revenue estimates, tech stack, and ICP fit score. Scroll the table horizontally to reach them, and click any column header's sort control to reorder rows by that field.
Note: email addresses are revealed per row, and the indicator next to Reveal shows what revealing that row costs. Reveal only the contacts you actually intend to use.
Step 4: choose and order your columns
With so many enrichment fields available, the column controls are how you make the table readable.
Select column ordering: applies a saved column arrangement.
The grid icon beside it opens the Column Order panel. It reports how many columns are currently hidden and lets you tick or untick each column, drag the handle beside a column to reorder it, and use Select All or Deselect All to start from either extreme.
Presets: save a column arrangement you use often with + Add new preset, then reapply it from the Presets dropdown.
Step 5: act on the results
Create Derived Report: turns the current view into a derived report you can revisit and build on.
Create Audience: builds an audience from the current view, ready to sync to a destination.
Export: downloads the contacts in the current view. It stays greyed out until the view supports an export.
Refresh: reloads the table after a change or a new upload.
The more menu beside Create Audience holds Delete People List, which stays disabled until a list is selected.
Use the checkboxes in the leftmost column, or the header checkbox, to select specific rows before running an action.
Step 6: page through the results
The bar at the bottom of the table shows Show rows for the page size, a count in the form of "Showing 1 - 25 of N", and Previous and Next to move between pages. Raising the page size is usually quicker than paging when you are scanning for something specific.
Key concepts and best practices
People, not companies: Prospected People lists individuals. The Accounts tab on the same screen lists the companies. Pick the tab that matches the level your question is at.
Filter first, act second: derived reports, audiences, and exports all follow the current view, so narrow it before you run one.
Reveal deliberately: revealing an email consumes credits per row. Filter down to the contacts you want before revealing.
Save a column preset: the full record is over a hundred columns wide. A preset holding the ten or so fields your team actually reads makes the view usable.
Scope with People Lists: if you only care about one campaign's contacts, select that People List rather than filtering the full set every time.
FAQs
Why is Prospected People under Accounts and not People?
Why is Prospected People under Accounts and not People?
It is a tab on the Identification screen, which opens from Accounts > Identified. The screen groups the three identification views together, Accounts, Company Employees, and Prospected People, even though the last one lists individual contacts.
Why are email addresses hidden behind a Reveal button?
Why are email addresses hidden behind a Reveal button?
Revealing an email consumes credits, so Sona hides it until you ask for it. The indicator next to the Reveal button shows the cost for that row. Filter down to the contacts you want before revealing them.
How is this different from People Lists?
How is this different from People Lists?
A People List is a static, hand-built or uploaded collection of contacts. Prospected People is the browsing view across those contacts, where you filter, choose columns, and act on the results. Use the List(s) selector here to scope the view to a specific People List.
Why does the table have so many columns?
Why does the table have so many columns?
Each row carries the full enrichment record for that contact and their company, which runs to well over a hundred fields. Use the Column Order panel to hide what you do not need, and save the arrangement as a preset.
Why is the Export button greyed out?
Why is the Export button greyed out?
Export becomes available once the current view supports it. If it is greyed out, apply a filter or make a selection first, then try again.
