Web Visitors
Updated over 2 months ago

The Web Visitors page lists both anonymous and identified visitors, groups their page activity, and further enriches visitor data with attributes such as company information, geo-location data, and personal details.

For web visitors that Sona can identify in the connected CRM, Sona also appends their profile with attributes from the CRM.

The granularity offered by the aggregated data lets you analyze your web traffic in detail to better understand campaign effectiveness across different channels, as well as identify net-new accounts, prospects and audiences, which ultimately leads to increased revenue.

Click an account name to open its profile page.

Here, you can see multiple tabs below the company details. Here's what each of the tabs does:

Activity

Provides a detailed overview of the company's recent website activity. It tracks key metrics such as activity level, intent signals, buying stage, and ICP score. Analyzing this data helps you understand the company's current engagement with your brand and identify potential opportunities for sales and marketing.

Intent Signals

Provides insights into the company's current level of interest in buying from you. It looks at things like how often they visit your website and what they do there. The higher the numbers, the more likely they are to make a purchase.

Buying Stage

Gives you a quick overview of the company's current position in the buying process. This information can be valuable for sales and marketing teams to prioritize their efforts and tailor their approach accordingly.

ICP Score

Provides an assessment of how well this company aligns with your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) based on their website activity. The ICP Score indicates their overall fit, considering factors such as website engagement and specific actions taken. Company Attribute Matches highlight areas of alignment identified through their online behavior, while Intent Signal Matches showcase actions they've performed that demonstrate their suitability as an ideal customer. This information allows you to prioritize your sales efforts and focus on companies with a high likelihood of converting into successful customers.

Top Pages

Highlights the most frequently visited pages on your website by the target company. By understanding which pages are generating the most interest, you can gain valuable insights into their current needs and priorities. This information can be used to tailor your sales approach and messaging to address their specific concerns and guide them further down the sales funnel.

Navigating the UI

  1. Use the search bar to find visitor profiles with email addresses that match your keywords.

  2. You can also use one or multiple Filters to identify visitors with specific attributes and narrow down the listed profiles. Click Save Filter and the filtered view will appear on the left under All Visitors.

  3. Click the arrows beside the column name to sort data in ascending or descending order. Hover to the right of the sort arrows, then click the pin icon to bookmark the column to the left.

  4. Click a Visitor ID or email address in the Visitor column to view a person’s profile and page activity.

  5. If a visitor’s company has been identified, either through first or third-party data, a link will appear in the Company column next to the Visitor ID. You can click the link to see the associated account’s profile.

  6. Click the three dots on the upper right to download the visitor data and change column settings.

  7. After filtering the data, you can also click Create Audience or Create Derived Report under Actions to create an auto-updating dataset with your specified filters (available with Growth and Enterprise packages).

How to Identify Net-New Leads

Sona creates a person-level profile for every unique visitor it captures.

Initially, each visitor profile is assigned a unique visitor ID. If Sona is able to find a person’s email in your CRM or through a third party, the email address will replace the visitor ID as the profile’s unique identifier.

  1. To see all identified visitors, add a filter for Email and select Is not empty. The resulting profiles can either be net-new leads or existing ones imported from your CRM.

  2. Remove existing leads from the list by adding a filter for email type so that only profiles with the Suggested label will be displayed. If the email type is Known, then the address was imported from your CRM.

Unlock More Insights from your Data

With Growth and Enterprise packages, you can automatically sync Sona Audience datasets to other platforms using Destinations. When a new visitor fits the parameters of your Audience datasets, the data can be automatically updated in your CRM records, mailing lists, and other systems to seamlessly integrate it into your workflow.
